“My Mentor has been such a supportive, kind and hard-working mentor since the very first day on placement. Just through observing her approach to teaching has massively inspired my own practice, and continues to exemplify the standards of professionalism. She continuously models the professionalism as a teacher working with the learners, input during staff discussion and demonstrating the importance of collaborating with parents. She’s been so helpful in her approach working collaboratively to support me and my needs to develop, and constantly ensures I have my own say in my learning pathway. She’s ensured there are opportunities for us to collaborate whilst planning for lessons, teaching the learners and reflecting on almost all of my lessons together. This constant feedback/reflection has been so valuable to hear, and has helped hugely when making progress/changes to my teaching.
