Welcome to Embrace Teaching School Hub

In 2021, the Department for Education (DfE) launched a new Teaching School Hub infrastructure of 87 centres of excellence for teacher training and professional development, replacing the previous network of around 750 Teaching Schools. After submitting a successful bid to the DfE, Tor View School was awarded Teaching School Hub status and Embrace Teaching School Hub was established.

Following a competitive tender process, Embrace Teaching School Hub was successfully re-designated for a second term running from September 2024 to August 2028.

We are an inclusive and collaborative Teaching School Hub serving South & West Lancashire.  Led by Tor View School, a four times outstanding special school located in Lancashire, and The Sea View Trust, an inclusive Trust incorporating Nurseries, Primary Schools, all-through Special Schools and a Post 19 College.

Our Mission

Embrace Teaching School Hub partners with schools across Chorley, Fylde, South Ribble and West Lancashire to bring the Department for Education's Recruitment and Retention Strategy to life. Through a dynamic range of programmes, we provide expert support and development opportunities that empower teachers to grow, lead and succeed at every stage of their career.
